I chose this scene from Spike Jonze new film Her because it is a heartbreaking moment when our main character is heartbroken from the news that his lover is seeing other people. I am very big on movies and am a huge fan of the director Spike Jonze. I've always been one to watch movies but never once thought about making a film or even being in one. After filming this short scene I realized that I absolutely love being behind the camera. Most of our shots were of Mario (my partner) because he was the main character, and I was left to holding the camera and taking the shots. There's something so amazing and fun about being behind the camera and knowing that YOU are the reason for the film. I also think it was a major plus being able to film with my bestfriend because the comfort level was amazing. I was so scared that my shots would be horrible but having him direct me in how to film and having an input on how I think they should have been filmed was also fun. Overall, I loved this project. I was able to film my own little scene from an amazing movie and discovered a new passion that I would have never even considered before this.
