  1. It was really fun doing block printing, because it was something I've never done before and I really loved it. I had a lot of fun working with my team and we worked together.

  2. At first I was a bit scared, I thought that I would put too much ink or have waited to long and the ink would dry up. But overall I had so much fun doing this project. I had never printed like this, it was a new experience that really taught me how important it was to pay close attention to the inking amount. It was so interesting and definitely a fun experience.

  3. Block printing is very interesting because I've never done before, I learned many new things, at first I was nervous because I did not know if I going to do it right, but then with practice you know how to do it right and is fun.

  4. I used brayer- rolls ink, inking tray, template, printing press, block ink, and lino-block/plate. I like to work as a group to print together so we can work things faster and better.

  5. Once we were ready to print, we used an inking tray and the brayer to speared the ink evenly. We practice a couple times to know how much ink was needed. We rolled our inked brayer over our plate, and made sure every corner had ink. The paper that we placed on top of our linoleum would go through the printing press and print out our finished products.

  6. It was a very great experience to ink and print our blocks. I really liked this project it was also very different and a lot of work but it was very cool and satisfying to see how our carved blocks printed on the paper.

  8. Doing the black printing was very interesting, mainly because it was new to me andI had never did it before. My first couple of times wasn't too hot. After a few practices I was proud of myself for having perfect prints. For some reason I didn't see ink on my hands until after I left the class. Still cant figuring it out. It was fun though.

  9. I felt bored and anxious when we were waiting for it to be our turn to print. I also felt nervous every time the blocks were going to be removed because I didn't know how it would come out.

  10. Doing the carving was really smooth doing because we had to bring out the detail in the art work which eventually turned out really great. It takes a while to know what you're doing but after a few tries I figured out that it was my best work so far.

  11. I actually have done something similar to this back in grade school, and I really love doing this type of artwork using the type of media that we use! However, I can not help but remember that in some way we had more liberty in using more different colors and blending them with one another, at least I got to because I was nominated by my art teacher to submit the design I made for my printmaking art piece for a school art competition. Which, little did I know that I would actually win from my school and actually get to meet one of the heroes that was listed on the list of people. Karen Lewis, and take pictures with her, to this day my art piece is hung in the building we went for the ceremony. This project simply brought back a whole lot of new memories.

  12. This art project was really cool, i actually enjoyed it :) hence me working so hard on it! haha i choose the person who stood in front of a group of tanks during a protest. He is nameless and their is no shot of him from the front so we(as the audience) don"t know what he looks like. I did some guess work and i"m pretty confident with the results. During the carving i managed to cut myself 3 times by improper placement of my hand on all three occassions. But....simply put, this project was really something. I had a great time doing it and i hope for similar projects in the future.

  13. I felt somewhat anxious and a bit dejected due to some personal issues. As I printed my linoleum block I felt a sense of relief and a bit more relaxed.
